The artist within

After struggling with my creative self for nearly ten years a dear friend of mine suggested journaling as another way to gain insight into the creative process. Since the idea of sitting down with a journal in my lap and writing endlessly to myself had very little appeal to me I thought of using a more modern approach. The one thing that has always fascinated me about creative people is that no matter what their medium, art, music, writing, they all share similar struggles, blocks and insights and yet each person is on their own unique journey. Fortunately we can all share the road for awhile together.

I have in previous experiences been an instructor (photoshop, illustrator, life drawing and painting) a graphic artist (corporate sell-out) a life long student and a wanderer. In all of these things I have learned many lessons about myself, I hope to learn many more through the discussion.
